Q: What are "Surprise Items?"
A: Some of our 2 or 3 tier diaper-only cakes have the option to add "surprise items" for a set price. For $15.00, you can add 8 items to a 3 tier diaper cakes and for $10.00 you can add 5 items to a 2 tier diaper cake. We will randomly select the products for your cake. Some of the items that may be included are a bottle, bib, washclothes, teether, socks, pacifier, baby wash, baby lotion, baby soap, baby rattle, etc.. These items are all the same premium quality items we use in our regular diaper cakes. Please click on each diaper cake for full details.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: Each one of our Diaper Cakes and Gift Boxes is constructed once your order has been received. Returns or exchanges are only offered if your diaper cake arrives damaged. The definition of
Damaged is defined as a cake that fell apart during shipping. If your cake fell apart during shipping and you wish to exchange or return it then you must notify us at
info@yanibabycakes.com within 2 days of receiving your package and express what happened and tell us if you would like an exchange for the
same item only or a refund. Please be advised that a refund will be given for the product price minus the shipping charge you paid. All damaged cakes must be returned within 7 business days of receipt. All diaper cakes returned for refund or exchange must be in the original condition that we shipped it with the exception of the item(s) that fell off. The tulle, ribbon, gift card must be intact and unopened. The diaper cake must look like it just left our warehouse.
Absolutely NO REFUND or EXCHANGES will be given for cakes that have been opened, unwrapped, used, re-wrapped or tampered with.
Q: What happens if my diaper cake or Gift Box was delivered but I wasn't home?
A: If your diaper cake was delivered via FedEx and you were not there at the time of delivery, FedEx may make a 2nd attempt to deliver the next day or they will leave you a note advising you that they will try again tomorrow or they will provide the location where you would need to pick it up. If you are not there again on the 2nd attempt, then your item will be returned back to us. If you are advised to pick up your package and you do not in a timely fashion then it will be shipped back to us. If you contact us within 24 hours of this happening, you will be billed an additional shipping charge and we will reship your item once payment clears. If FedEx or USPS makes a delivery and you refuse the item then the diaper cake will be shipped back to us and we will not give you a refund. Our diaper cakes are not pre-made and are contructed when your order is placed. We cannot restock a returned diaper cake.
Q: What if I never received my diaper cake or Gift Box but the carrier states that they delivered it?
A: Please be advised that all orders require a signature for delivery. Yani Baby Cakes is not responsible for lost packages left with a neighbor. It is the customer's responsibility to provide us with the complete and correct shipping address. You must ensure that the package will be received by an actual person. Yani Baby Cakes is not responsible for packages that may have been stolen after the carrier has left the package. Many times a carrier will leave a package with a neighbor so please check with them as well.
Q: Do you ship to hospitals?
A: No, we will only ship to residential or business addresses. Hospitals will not accept mail or deliveries for any patients. We also do not ship to a P.O. Box address. Please make sure the shipping address is correct and includes any apt.# or suite # for proper delivery.
Q: How long will it take for my diaper cake or gift items to arrive?
A: All of our diaper cakes are prepared and ready for shipment within 3 business days after you place your order and payment is confirmed. You will receive an email confirming your order and another email when your item has shipped. All of our cakes are shipped via FedEx Ground or USPS. It will take between 2-7 business days for your diaper cake to arrive, this depends on your location. Express Shipping via USPS is available if you are short on time and you need your diaper cake in a hurry. Express Mail Service is an additional $35.00 (in addition to the regular shipping) fee for each diaper cake ordered. We strongly recommend that you place your order 2 weeks in advance if you need your gift in time for a baby shower. Even though FedEx Ground should not take more than 7 business days from the time we send out your diaper cake, delivery may take longer. Remember, we have no control over natural disasters or weather delays. It is best to give yourself plenty of time. Yani Baby Cakes is not reponsible if your diaper cake arrives late.
Q: How do I check the status of my order?
A: Once your order has shipped we will send you an email with your tracking number and the website (FedEx, UPS or USPS) where you can keep track of your item(s).
Q: What methods of payment do you accept?
A: We accept most major credit cards through Paypal. Credit cards we accept are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Paypal account (we do not accept e-checks). Please be advised that once you have filled in your order info in the shopping cart, you will be directed to the Paypal web site where you will need to log in to your Paypal account or if you do not have a Paypal account you will need to create an account by clicking the link on the left and side of the screen where it states, "Sign up for a PayPal account and continue checkout."
Paypal is one of the most secure companies that protect the consumer against credit card fraud. That is why so many millions of online retailers use Paypal to complete the payment transaction. If you encounter any problems please email us and we will assist you. We no longer accept echecks.
Q: What sizes are the clothes in your diaper cakes or gift boxes?
A: The baby clothes included in some of our diaper cakes ranges in size from newborn to 9-12 months. Each diaper cake has a color theme so the clothes we select will be the same or as close to the color theme as possible. The sizes for the clothes are randomly selected for your diaper cake. For "1st Birthday" Diaper Cakes we will send items age and size appropriate.
